A brief (somewhat disjointed) look at some of the things happening in my life the past couple of weeks.
Running errands for my mom a few weekends ago I heard a strange noise as I walked out of Walmart. It almost sounded like someone strumming an electric guitar. I noticed other people were looking around trying to figure out where the noise was coming from. Then, I saw IT. It was a few aisles over from where I was parked. I quickly loaded up the van and drove over.
Ah yes, this is what I want at my next shindig. Robo Party Band. This robot’s head turned, it’s arm slowly strummed the guitar (well, it came close) and it’s eyes flashed! Entertainment surely does not get any better than this! There are actually a total of three robots in the band, but the others must have been advertising at other area Walmarts.
I blogged about the nifty tripod I was given for Christmas. I love this thing! As I was trying to capture a photo the other day I realized after several unsuccessful attempts that I needed my Gorillapod. Unfortunately by the time I thought of this and screwed it on, the sunlight was gone.
Note to self, just screw the tripod on when there is any doubt.
I entered another one of Pioneer Woman’s photography contests. The theme was dogs.
I snapped this quickly when we had a bit of sun streaming in late one afternoon. Nope, didn’t qualify.
This past week I was searching for my great grandmother’s potato bread recipe. Thanks to a cousin, I now have it and have made the dough a total of four times!
This is some happy dough!
I’ve been trying the dough for different uses besides loaves of potato bread.
I plan on sharing the results with you all tomorrow, along with the recipe.
